Notifications and Alerts in NinjaRMM

Tailor your notifications and alerts with NinjaRMM

As with any Remote Monitoring and Management platform, being one step ahead of your customers is the core of your business. NinjaRMM gives you the choice of what notifications are the most important and the ability to tailor each notification to suit you and your clients' needs.

With NinjaRMM you can create custom alerts and get notified when endpoints act unexpectedly so you can proactively address issues before end-users notice them.

SETTING UP YOUR ALERTS & NOTIFICATIONS

Monitor your clients' entire IT infrastructure from a single-pane-of-glass and create your custom alerts based on system performance, the NinjaRMM platform monitors:

  • Windows and Mac workstations and laptops
  • Windows servers
  • Cloud infrastructure
  • Network devices, including printers, firewalls, routers, and switches

To setup your alerts and notifications you will firstly need to create a policy. In your dashboard head over to the + button in the top right hand corner and select Create Policy. After you've filled in some basic details, like giving your policy a name you'll then need to create your conditions. NinjaRMM has plenty of templated conditions already setup in the platform, to access just click on Use Template, or if you'd rather start from scratch click Add Condition. Select your condition from the list to start editing, choose to setup an alert for CPU, device down, if software doesn't exist and many more.

After you've selected your condition you can then toggle whether or not to send a notification. When notifications are enabled you can choose the alert priority and severity.

SETTING UP USER PREFERENCES 

If you don't want to receive all notifications you can setup your user preferences and select the severity and priority of the alerts you want to receive. To do this, head to Users from the main menu and select the user you'd like you setup.

CUSTOMISING YOUR ALERTS & NOTIFICATIONS

NinjaRMM allows you to customise what notification alerts you and your team want to receive, as well as whether the alerts should be sent by both email and/or SMS. If you have downloaded the NinjaRMM mobile app you can also receive push notifications on-the-go.

The NinjaRMM mobile app will notify you of critical issues - you can choose to customise alert triggers by severity so you only get the most critical notifications, or login to the app for the 'at-a-glance dashboard' of endpoint issues. This includes OS, 3rd Party Patching status, threats detected, reboots pending and many more.
